Support Staff Overtime Assignments

Background

The District expects that under normal circumstances, it shall not be necessary to assign overtime work.

Procedures

1. Supervisors may assign a minimal amount of overtime but must obtain approval from the Superintendent or designate before approving extensive or continuous overtime. 
2. Employees may not engage in overtime work without having received prior approval of their supervisors. 
3. An exception will be made in cases of emergency repair work provided that this work is reported to the Supervisor concerned on the next working day.
